What Time Are Sunrise Surf Lessons?
Autumn/Winter Season Lesson Time: 7 AM
In winter, sunrise at Waikīkī Beach occurs somewhere around 6:50 AM and 7:15 AM Hawaii Standard Time (HST), making 7 AM the standard for dawn patrol surf lessons. We will determine the exact time for you and/or your group when we talk on the phone. Give us a call at 808-724-4208! It’s better to call over using our booking form when it comes to sunrise lessons, given how variable the times are during certain seasons.
Spring/Summer Season Lesson Time: 6 AM
In Waikiki, sunrise occurs between 5:45 AM and 5:55 AM during the spring and summer. In general, early morning surf lessons during the this time of the year are booked at 6 AM. We will determine the exact time for you and/or your group when we talk on the phone. Give us a call at 808-724-4208!
Book 24-Hours in Advance (or earlier)
Most Waikiki Beach surf schools don’t accept bookings for sunrise surf lessons. But because our HQ is actually located in the heart of Waikiki Beach (view proximity to your hotel) we can accommodate your request for a dawn patrol experience. 24-hour advance bookings are recommended to ensure that we have the required number of instructors available to meet your needs, but don’t be afraid to call us directly in the late afternoon or early evening (before the next sunrise) in case we have space available.
